Are there any public or private schools in Portland (close-in SE, specifically) that offer a half-day kindergarten option? I know that most schools will allow children to attend half-days, but I'm looking for a school has specifically set up the kindergarten for a half-day.

Hi - I'm the director and one of the kindergarten teachers at Small Friends School in SW Portland. I'm not sure if this is too far away, but we do have a half-day program that runs from 12:00 - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday. Our class is small - no more than 16 chidlren - and is run by 2 teachers. Our curriculum is very hands-on and developmentally appropriate.
